sosad I am newly diagnosed HPV, married and really need support. I went outside of my marriage for companionship / S-- after 22 years living in a frustrating unsatisfying s----l /emotional situation and wound up with HPV. I'm a health care professional, which makes it worse...I should have known better. I feel awful...unlovable, untouchable and so sad about this situation. I've told a few of the people that I've been with about the situation...apologized profusely, provided information/eduction on the topic and have not heard back from any of them...makes me feel even worse but I felt it my responsibility to tell those that I may have infected. I feel like I'm wearing a scarlet letter....
I've done alot of research on the topic and see that HPV can be passed from ones body with 1-2 years. If that's the case, why all the drama? My OB/GYN has basically said its a 4ever thing. So I'm confused. I have been diagnosed with high risk strains and am being treated accordingly.
I am seeking support, friendship, someone - male and / or female to talk to about this issue.
I hope to be able to post a more positive description in the future...right now, I just feel icky.
